Additional information
The pieces in the Nottingham Lace collection are all made by rolling soft recycled silver between two pieces of vintage lace. The result is an exquisite imprint of the lace onto the metal. The silver is then formed and hardened, in a way that aims to capture the more fluid nature of lace fabric. The bangles in the photographs are made and ready to ship. If you’d like a specific size or style, then I’d be happy to make to order, just send me an email.
Measurements
These bangles measure approximately 7cm in diameter with a height of approximately 1cm. They are gently adjustable to make them easier to get over the hand.
If you require a different size, I can make a similar one to order, so please let me know.
Sustainability
Recycled silver represents a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way of making jewellery. It is absolutely equivalent to sterling silver, apart from the silver content is not newly mined; it is recycled from previously used silver, or silver waste. I also ensure that my gold-plating uses fair-mined gold.
All my jewellery is gift wrapped using packaging that has been carefully selected to ensure minimal cost to the environment. I endeavour to ensure that wrapping is sustainably sourced, recycled, and, wherever possible, biodegradable. Further information about my approach to sustainability can be found here.
Delivery
All items are delivered using Royal Mail Special Delivery which will require a signature on receipt. A delivery cost of £3.50 will be added at the checkout for all orders below £100. Orders above £100 are delivered free of charge.
