packaging

I have taken deliberate decisions about the presentation and packaging of my pieces to ensure that I am making sustainable choices. In the main, I have attempted to reduce the amount of unnecessary packaging as we guess that you will already have something that you use to store your jewellery. In this spirit of sustainability then, all jewellery is gift wrapped using environmentally-friendly and ethically sourced materials. This is usually a combination of hemp, bamboo or organic wool felt. I am always looking out for ways I can increase the sustainability of my packaging, so these things might change periodically. I currently use acid-free recycled tissue paper for extra protection, and use postal boxes that are both recycled and recyclable, all held together with recyclable plastic-free paper tape. I source these items from small independent businesses.

If you would like a gift message included, let me know when you order. This will be handwritten on a ‘seed paper’ card that the recipient can plant in the garden afterwards!

Each piece of jewellery comes with an anti-tarnish tab and a small silver polishing cloth.

delivery times

Delivery times depend on what piece of jewellery you are ordering. The one-of-a-kind pieces that you see advertised on the website are available straightaway and I will be able to dispatch within 5-7 working days. I also keep a small stock of some of my other more popular pieces. However, the majority of my jewellery is made to order, and can usually be dispatched within 10-15 days of you placing your order, and sometimes much sooner. I will get in touch with you if this is likely to be longer.

If you are ordering a bespoke piece, this may take a little longer, as I may need to factor in some time for hallmarking. Again, we can discuss this when you make your enquiry. Similarly, if you require a piece for a special date, do get in touch to explore whether this is possible.

I will let you know by email as soon as the jewellery has been dispatched from our workshop.

UK Delivery costs

There is no delivery charge for orders totalling over £100. These are sent Royal Mail Special Delivery and will be with you by 1pm the day after posting. For all other orders, there is a flat rate of £3.50 for delivery. If your order is £50 and over (but under £100) your jewellery will silmilarly be sent to you by the Special Delivery service. Orders under £50 are sent by Royal Mail 1st class and will need a signature.

international delivery

There is a flat rate of £15.00 for all international deliveries, which will be sent by Royal Mail’s Tracked and Signed service, and which needs a signature on receipt. I’m really sorry but Australian import restrictions mean that jewellery can’t be shipped from the UK to Australia and New Zealand. Please note that this delivery charge does not include any further import taxes which may be payable by you when you receive the jewellery and this may now include delivery to countries in the European Union.

returns and exchanges

I hope you will be more than happy with your jewellery, but understand that sometimes you will need to return or exchange an item.

If you need to return or exchange an item because it doesn’t fit, or you have changed your mind, then that’s not a problem but please do this within 14 days of its receipt in order that a full refund or replacement can be organised. The jewellery must be returned in its original condition and protected in its original packaging. I’m afraid that you will need to pay the return postage and this will need to be by Royal Mail Special Delivery in order that the piece is insured on its journey. If a different delivery method is used, I will not be able to refund or issue an exchange if the piece is lost in transit. I’m afraid I cannot provide refunds or exchanges for earrings.

I will be unable to provide refunds or replacements where damage has been caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

Custom orders may not be eligible for refund or exchange - I will confirm this when we discuss the order.

cancellation policy

If you would like to cancel your order before dispatch, contact me as soon as you can. If the item has already left the workshop, then please follow the instructions above about how to return the jewellery in its original condition and packaging in order to qualify for a full refund. I’m afraid you will be liable for the return delivery cost.

damaged items

If you believe the item is faulty, then please let me know within 5 days of receiving it. I will replace the item as quickly as possible and you will be reimbursed for the cost of returning the item.

If you suspect a parcel has been damaged in transit, you should open the package in the presence of the courier in order for you to verify that the goods contained in the parcel are untampered with, and undamaged. Should you fail to do this, and subsequently find that the item is not present, or has been damaged during delivery, I may not be able to claim against the courier or against my insurers. If you do not verify in this way, you will be liable for any such loss or damage.

All my work is covered for up to 6 months from the receipt of your jewellery.  Should a fault occur within this timeframe, please let me know and send a photo of the problem. I may need you to send the piece to us to establish the problem. At this point, if it is determined that the damage has been caused by accident, neglect or misuse, there will be a small charge to cover the cost of the repair in addition to any shipping costs incurred.

Please note that I am not liable for any other jeweller’s work. A faulty jewellery item corrected by another jeweller voids my warranty period.

lost items

If your jewellery gets lost in the post, the Royal Mail Special Delivery service insures us after 20 working days (30 days for international delivery), so I will not be able to send a refund or a replacement item until after this period. If your item is recorded as being delivered, but you haven’t received it, I am afraid there’s nothing I would be able to do about this.
